She helped Mara Jade escape from the palace of Chay Praysh, during Mara's attempt to rescue Sansia Bardrin. When Karrde set out to meet Booster Terrik on the Errant Venture, the bridge crew kept the exact nature of Terrik's ship. When she recognized that a Star Destroyer was waiting for them after they dropped out of hyperspace, she reacted quite violently, but checked her emotions quickly to provide an accurate description of the ship. Dried or fried slices of hubba flesh were consumed as snack chips, and dried fibers were also ground into a form of tobacco. The rind of the gourd was also dried, but was pulverized and sifted. Small crystals which were imbedded in the rind were removed, and the remaining rind was steeped in water to create a pungent form of tea.
