Report: A Third Star Wars TV Show Has Started Production

Posted by Ryan on February 23, 2019 at 02:02 PM CST

A new report from Fanthatracks.com indicates that a third Star Wars television show has begun production in the U.K.

From Fantha Tracks:

Tonight we can reveal that the third as yet unannounced Star Wars TV series will be shot in the UK under the production name of SERIES III PRODUCTIONS (UK) LIMITED which was registered on the public UK companies register on the 12th October 2018.  We anticipate that the focal point of the series will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration in April.

We shared the report from SWNN a few days ago, which stated they heard an Obi-Wan Kenobi series was headed to Disney+. The timing of these two reports seem to make it both smoke and fire, so the safe bet here is that this series will be the Obi-Wan series, but that was not included in Fantha Tracks report.

It is important to remember that this does not mean the series has started filming, but simply that the production has been planned.

Another interesting tidbit from the report was the first news we've heard from the Rian Johnson trilogy:

Registered on the exact same day was E&E INDUSTRIES (UK) LIMITED which we understand will be the first film from the planned Rian Johnson trilogy.

Fantha Tracks has broken the news on every other Star Wars production in the U.K. since 2012, so you can bet this is legitimate.

Less than 50 days until Star Wars Celebration Chicago, where we are likely to hear official details on this new series.
