Star Wars: The Clone Wars Leaving Netlifx

The Clone Wars

And then there was three, Star Wars films left on Netflix that is. That’s right; it appears as though Star Wars: The Clone Wars will finally be leaving Netflix after many years of the streaming service threatening to do so.

The series, according to Netflix, is scheduled to leave the streaming giant on Sunday, April 7th, all six seasons of it. This includes all five standard seasons and “The Lost Missions” sixth season which was a Netflix only release. This isn’t the first time Netflix has said the series was getting the boot but obviously with the announcement of Disney Plus, Disney's brand new streaming service debuting later this year, everything has changed.

In fact, the announcement was made months ago that a brand new seventh season of The Clone Wars would be debuting with the service along with “The Mandalorian”, Lucasfilm’s new live-action series. So it, along with all of the other Disney properties, is switching channels.

For those completely unfamiliar, The Clone Wars was an animated series which took place during three years between the events of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The series originally aired on the Cartoon Network from 2008 to 2013 until all five seasons, including “The Lost Missions” sixth season, was moved to Netflix in the spring of 2014.

For now, only Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2008 film remain on Netflix, but those are sure to follow suit later this year, if not sooner.

Better start your re-watch soon if you plan to squeeze in all 121 episodes before it’s gone!
