Lucasfilm Confirms Open Casting For Star Wars Episode VII

Posted by Eric on November 8, 2013 at 01:14 PM CST

The official Star Wars Facebook page confirmed that the open casting call we posted earlier is indeed for Star Wars Episode VII. The Star Wars page linked to the casting call's U.S. website, opencastingcall2013.com, and added the message: "If you or someone you know fits this description, we would be honored if you would join us."

Open auditions for Star Wars Episode VII, which will hit theaters on December 18, 2015, are happening now in the U.S. and UK.

UPDATE: It appears that this post on the Star Wars Facebook page is geotargeted, meaning that Lucasfilm has configured the post so that it only appears to users in certain locations. That means it won't be visible unless you're logged into Facebook, and even then, you might get a "page not found" error if you're not in one of the targeted locations. That being said, you can at least see the post in the screenshot above.
