Walt Disney Studios Chairman: Episode VII To Be Released In Summer 2015
Alan Horn, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, confirmed at the D23 Expo's live-action panel that Star Wars Episode VII will have a summer 2015 release. Horn's announcement ends speculation about Disney possibly pushing the film to the fall of 2015 to avoid competing with its other major tent-pole film of the summer, The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Horn didn't reveal anything else about Episode VII, which was not surprising given what his boss told D23 attendees yesterday. "I really wish I could tell you more," Horn joked, "But there are dark forces, and they are watching."
