Gina Carano Talks To ESPN About Her New Beginning In The Mandalorian
When Gina Carano left the world of MMA after her last Strikeforce fight in 2009, she hoped to put some of the skills she’d spent a decade honing to new use as an actress. Now, ten years later, she’s playing a key role in the first-ever live-action Star Wars series, “The Mandalorian” -- coming to the new streaming service Disney+ on Tuesday, November 12. If you remember Boba Fett from the Star Wars movies, you know what a Mandalorian is. And if you remember Gina Carano’s MMA career, you know what she did to make mixed martial arts a place where women could thrive.
