Tweet A Selfie To Remember The Force Awakens' One-Year Mark And Track Your Aging

Posted by Eric on December 18, 2014 at 01:15 PM CST

The one-year countdown until Star Wars: The Force Awakens begins today. It's going to be a long year, so Star Wars fans are doing what they do best: inventing fun ways to pass the time.

This afternoon, Lucasfilm's Matt Martin tweeted a selfie that would let him track how much he aged in the year leading up to the film's release. (He predicted a lot of aging, and given where he works, he's probably right.)

Fans liked the idea of using selfies to remember what they looked like at this point in time. They suggested hashtags and proposed compiling all of the images for posterity.

If you want to be included in the collection, tweet your selfie with the hastag #TheForceAges.

A year is a long time. A lot of things can happen in our lives before we see The Force Awakens. But to paraphrase Han Solo: "One thing's for sure. We're all going to be a year older!"
