TFN Review: Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder By PLOX

Posted by Dustin on April 25, 2018 at 02:26 PM CST

Have you ever misplaced an item and spent over an hour trying to find it? Well save time and frustration by using these super cool Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finders by PLOX!

PLOX was kind enough to send us some Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finders to test out recently. They must know I love R2-D2 because they sent R2-D2, and BB-8 which I forwarded to Daniel Berry of The ForceCast to test out. The Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder is made of rubber and seems to be quite durable with some give and play to the item if it were to be crunched or smooshed. The Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder is super easy to use too! Simply download the PLOX finder app to your smart phone, then hold a button on the Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder tag to pair the two via Bluetooth technology.

Within minutes I had it up and working with no problems. I decided to test the Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder by letting my daughter Chloe go upstairs and hide it. She told me I had to close my eyes :-) Then I simply pull up the item on the app, click on it and it starts to beep, helping you pinpoint the location.

But what If you can't hear it beeping? Maybe it's somewhere else? The Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder will appear on a map with the street address of where it currently is!

My only gripe is that I was under the impression that the Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finders emit Star Wars character sounds, but they don't. They just beep. However, if you have the Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder in your hand and need to find your phone, click the button twice, and you will hear the Star Wars character sounds you chose start to emit from your smart phone. I asked PLOX about this issue and they say it is currently in development. So the Star Wars Bluetooth Item Finder will eventually emit Star Wars character sounds just like your phone.

Over all I really like this product and give it 5 out of 5 lightsabers!

They are priced at $24.99 each, and currently offer Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper, R2-D2, BB-8, and BB-9E.
