Billy Dee back as Lando? Dengar? IG-88? The Empire invades Cloud City again?

In the fourth episode of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, we get all of those things and more. The episode, titled "The Lost Treasure of Cloud City" was probably my favorite so far. There was action, humor, Billy Dee, Star Wars throwbacks, and much more.

The episode starts out with an epic shot of the Empire invading Cloud City again. This series takes place after Empire Strikes Back, so Lando takes the Falcon and leaves the planet. From there, the episode really takes off.

We see Rowan become increasingly frustrated with his lack of growth in his training. Vader thinks he is bluffing since he has already found two crystals, and you can see him losing faith in Naare's ability. This was a nice throw-in connection to the overall story, and helped remind us what the true arc of this show is.

Zander tries to cheer up Rowan with podracing, but he is uninterested and goes off on his own. From there, he finds IG-88 and other bounty hunters. All of this centers around Lando's "precious cargo" and it has everyone after whatever it is he is trying to save. The bounty hunters are after it, Kordi is after it for money, and Naare is searching for it thinking it is another crystal.

After that, a ton of action happens. The Freemakers go undercover, Dengar and Naare come to Cloud City, Rowan gets frozen in carbonite, and we even get some lightsaber action.

After all of the hoopla and adventure, Dengar ends up in Cloud City prison, while the Freemakers and Naare make it back home. In true LEGO fashion, the cargo is revealed to be Lando's cape, and Naare passes out after finding out she wasted time thinking it was a kyber crystal.

This episode was exactly what I look for in LEGO Star Wars. There was humor that poked fun at the saga, there was action, and there was a real story involved. I found myself laughing out loud when Lando made the joke about wearing Han's clothes, and who doesn't love a cameo from Chewbacca?

The animation continues to be superb, and after four episodes, I can say that the show is getting better. I actually have enjoyed watching this, and that is more than I can say for the other LEGO stories.

The return to Cloud City was a success.
