Rumor: Tim Curry Reprising His Role As Palpatine In Star Wars Rebels?
ScreenCrush is reporting that actor Tim Curry, who took over the role of Palpatine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars upon the death of Ian Abercrombie, will be playing the Emperor in the new animated TV series Star Wars Rebels.
In a where-are-they-now article about the cast of Charlie's Angels -- in which Curry played Roger Corwin -- ScreenCrush's Britt Hayes writes, "He mostly does voice work these days, and has lent his voice to ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars‘ as Palpatine, a role he will reprise for the upcoming ‘Star Wars Rebels‘ animated TV series."
When I asked Lucasfilm about this report, their response was, "We haven't made any casting announcements for Rebels yet."
