Ram Bergman, Frequent Rian Johnson Collaborator, Reportedly Producing Episode VIII

Last week, word leaked that Looper writer and director Rian Johnson would write and direct Star Wars Episode VIII and write a treatment for Episode IX. Today, the Los Angeles Times gets as close to confirming this news as anyone other than Disney or Lucasfilm can get: they got the affirmative from Johnson's spokesperson.

Also in the story is this news about a key crew member: "Johnson's producing partner Ram Bergman will join him on the film."

Lucasfilm has not commented on Johnson's involvement in Episode VIII.
