Hasbro Inc. signed an extension to its licensing contract with The Walt Disney Company for Disney's Star Wars and Marvel product lines, Variety reported
today. Under the terms of the $80 million deal, Hasbro will continue to release Star Wars
action figures, playsets, and other merchandise until at least 2020. The same is true of Hasbro's Marvel products. Here's more:
"Hasbro’s additional Marvel payments are contingent on additional Marvel theatrical releases. The $225 million extra for Star Wars takes into consideration Disney’s next three installments planned for the space-opera powerhouse, with $75 million payable on signing. “Star Wars: Episode VII,” helmed by J.J.
