John Boyega recently confirmed (no direct quote - see below) with Empire Magazine that Star Wars: Episode IX takes place roughly one year after The Last Jedi. You can read the clip from their article below.




This makes sense with our earlier reports from back in April showing John Boyega beefing up at the gym, and growing his hair out which this set photo from back in August confirms.
