We've heard all kinds of rumors and reports about what happened to Harrison and how bad the damage really was, but today, DailyMail.co.uk posted photos
of him walking the streets of London with the help of a prosthetic leg support. He is definitely not wheelchair bound which means filming for Episode VII could very well commence much sooner rather than later. Here's hoping this is a sign of a quick recovery! UPDATE:
Our own Erik Blythe spoke to his wife, an ER/Trauma nurse at a western Maryland hospital, earlier about Harrison and she had some interesting comments:
"He could totally film with that. We've had scribes and docs with similar casts at work. If someone can spend 8 hrs navigating the ER on a wheeled splint, Harrison can shoot scenes."
[Regarding his age] "It will be slow healing, but this is a physically fit man who does his own stunts."
From a doctor of sports medicine at the same hospital:
[Regarding his age] "It depends on how well they are able to manage his [rest breaks]."
Another doctor's comments from a southern Pennsylvania hospital:
"Depends on what he's filming. If he wants to, [the injury] could be worked around."
