Yoda To Appear On Star Wars Rebels

The next episode of Star Wars Rebels will feature Yoda's disembodied voice, TV Guide exclusively revealed this morning.

Frank Oz will provide the voice for the Jedi Master in "Path of the Jedi," airing Monday, January 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Disney XD. In the episode, Yoda will "offer counsel to fledgling Jedi knight Kanan and his new padawan, Ezra, on the remote planet of Lothal."

"I felt personally to keep Yoda as this disembodied thing it would confuse the audience less," executive producer Dave Filoni -- who also directed the episode -- told TV Guide. "I didn't want you to think Yoda could be teleporting from planet to planet."

Yoda's appearance, Filoni said, "was on the outer rim of what we do, but I think we were able to pull it off."
