Report: Jon Watts To Direct Star Wars Episode X

It's been reported that Jon Watts, who directed multiple Tom Holland Spider-Man films and a few episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, will direct the next Star Wars film (Episode X) deriving from the previously mentioned Simon Kinberg trilogy continuing the Skywalker story. Daisy Ridley is expected to return in some capacity and it sounds like filming could begin as early as 2027.
Lucasfilm has not confirmed anything yet, so we'll be watching for that to follow at some point.
