Daniel Radcliffe Visited The Episode VII Set

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe discussed his trip to the set of Star Wars: Episode VII while on the red carpet for his new movie Horns, acording to ITV News.

Radcliffe said that he was excited for the visit because he "literally just watched the original Star Wars movies very recently, so I was like a new fan going on set." It's unclear whether he meant that he had just watched the movies for the first time -- a possibility that is as exciting as it is astounding -- or that it was a re-watch.

The star of the only franchise to seriously compete with Star Wars for global media attention met Harrison Ford while he was on set. The two actors, in Radcliffe's very British words, had "a chat, and he was lovely. It was great."

Did Radcliffe call up Pinewood and ask for a visit after getting sucked into the original films? Not quite.

"I went out because all my friends were working there 'cause it's the Potter crew," Radcliffe said. "They've basically just moved onto that, so I was going to see all of them."

Although the eight Harry Potter movies primarily filmed at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, some of the filming was done at Pinewood, which is a half-hour drive south.

On a personal note, this fan of both universes is happy to hear that Abrams is working with the Harry Potter crew on Episode VII. It is, as Anakin Skywalker might put it, "so wizard!"
