Despite some rumors to the contrary, Patty Jenkins is still slated to direct Star Wars: Rogue Squadron which was announced with a release timeframe of December 2023.
At GalaxyCon over the weekend, a fan was able to ask prolific Star Wars author Michael Stackpole about the upcoming film. Stackpole’s X-Wing saga, alongside the work of Aaron Allston, is considered a fan favorite in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
Here is the report from Star Wars fan and Twitter user @Jedi4Liberty about his encounter with Stackpole.
Not every day you get to chat with one of your favorite #StarWars authors. Great meeting Michael Stackpole who told me he was highly excited about the upcoming #RogueSquadron movie and assured me Patty Jenkins had been in contact with him early on. #GalaxyCon @ScarifPodcast pic.twitter.com/x2EKk7JzYg
