Galaxy's Edge

Oga’s Cantina Coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019

Oga's Cantina

Starting in 2019, when you visit Disney’s Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in either Florida or California, looks like you’ll be able to get your drink on. When Galaxy’s Edge opens its doors in 2019 and reveals Black Spire Outpost to the world, you’ll be able to visit Oga’s Cantina, pull up a stool and order an alcoholic beverage for the first time publicly on Disney property.

On the Disney Parks Blog, writer Scott Trowbridge, officially gave us the details on what should be a wretched hive of scum and villainy…

“Visitors come to this notorious local watering hole to unwind, conduct shady business, and maybe even encounter a friend…or a foe. Run by an intriguing alien proprietor, Oga Garra, the cantina adheres to a strict code of conduct that tries to keep its unruly patrons in check. But with a history of being a smugglers’ safe haven and a popular stopping point for those seeking to avoid the authorities, you can bet that the cantina has a story or two to tell.”

In the blog Scott states, “…With choices for kids and libations for adults, the cantina will make for a great stop!” This prompted one reader to ask for clarification on what exactly “…libations for adults…” means. Disney responded with…

“We are developing a specialty cocktail (non-alcohol- and alcohol-based) menu that will include creatively themed custom cocktails, and proprietary beer and wine options.”

From the horse’s mouth. So, it looks like not only will you be immersed in a state-of-the-art Star Wars experience, but you’ll be able to catch a buzz as well! This may help the non-Star Wars parents cope with what will be very long lines as their kids’ minds explodes with happiness.
