The Story Of The Faithful Wookiee To Stream On Disney+
In what may have easily slid under the radar for many, Disney+ announced that they will be making The Story of the Faithful Wookiee available to subscribers of their streaming service. It's an animated short that originally aired as part of the Star Wars Holiday Special. This is the first appearance of Boba Fett and something that long-time fans will remember seeing in 1978 for the very first time. While this was made available as a DVD extra on Star Wars Blu-rays, it has not been officially available in any other format.
Put this one on your calendar for April 2, 2021 as a must watch offering! Could this be a sign that someday, maybe in the not so distant future, we may see the Star Wars Holiday Special show up on Disney+? One can only hope, even if it may not be the easiest show to make it through. It sure would beat watching it on an old VCR tape, assuming you can find a VCR to play it on!
