Insight Editions Gearing Up For A Big Star Wars Weekend

New York Comic Con is upon us and as always brings out the best and brightest that the Star Wars publishing world has to offer. All the major publishing houses will be there with a slew of releases, events, panels, and guests planned to delight the massive crowds.

With a monster second half of the year planned, Insight Editions (Booth #1946) is going big this year at NYCC bringing with them authors, first looks, exclusives, giveaways, and some exciting events.

Here’s what they’ve got in store for us that weekend.

Insight Editions Presents: These are the Books You Are Looking For - 2019's Most Anticipated Star Wars Books

New York Times bestselling author Matthew Reinhart and his frequent collaborator Kevin M. Wilson are joined by fellow authors Chelsea Monroe-Cassell and Marc Sumerc to discuss the creation of some of the most anticipated Star Wars books of 2019. Hear how Star Wars: The Ultimate Popup Galaxy, Secrets of the Jedi and Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Cookbook were imagined and created.

We also have events off-site for people who can't attend NYCC this year!

We are celebrating the launch of Star Wars: The Ultimate Pop-Up Galaxy at Books of Wonder at 18 West 18th Street! Blast into hyperspace with two amazing creators as they discuss their art, answer questions from the audience, and sign copies of their books.

Guests: Paper Engineer Matthew Reinhart and Illustrator Kevin Wilson.

*Everyone who attends will receive a special DIY pop-up from Matthew Reinhart.

Author’s Chelsea Monroe-Cassell, Matthew Reinhart, Marc Sumerak, and Kevin M. Wilson will be at the Insight Editions booth (#1946) on Friday, October 4th from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm signing copies of their latest books.

*This will be the first time “Star Wars: The Ultimate Pop-Up Galaxy” and “Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook” will be available to the public!

Chelsea Monroe-Cassel Signing

When: Sunday, October 6th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Where: Insight Editions Booth #1946

For those who can't attend the show on Friday, author and chef Chelsea Monroe-Cassel will be back on Sunday to sign any last copies of Galaxy's Edge Cookbook!

*If you stop by the Insight Editions booth and see Eric Chang, say the words “Everything is Canon” and you’ll get a special prize!
