30th Anniversary For Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure

Posted by Chris on November 25, 2014 at 04:36 PM CST

November 25, 1984 was the official US release date for Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, the made-for-tv film and first of two Ewok movies created after Return of the Jedi. It was originally released as The Ewok Adventure and later changed to the longer name once released in Europe.

Mace Towani actor Eric Walker, along with Warwick Davis, actually made a great little documentary called The Making of Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure with George Lucas' permission. Eric uploaded it to YouTube with the title "Star Wars VII The Force Awakens Trailer Leak" which is obviously a joke, but do check out the video as it has some great footage and features some of his original music. He's petitioned everyone to tell Disney and Lucasfilm that both films should be released on Blu-ray and DVD with special features and added bonus content.

For those looking to watch Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure and the sequel film Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, Lucasfilm did release a Double Feature DVD back in 2004 which is no longer available in stores. However, copies of it can be found on eBay as is the case with most collectibles such as this.
