Background: Once a distinguished Republic Fleet Officer, Thaylon did not like the Empire’s birth and rise to power, but always a man by the rules, he could do little or nothing to stop it. When faced with actual Imperial domination over the Galaxy, he decided he would do his best to make of the Empire a proper form of government from inside. He entered the Imperial Fleet and put his many skills and abilities in the service of the Emperor. Armed with his best intentions, he actually had to close his eyes many times in front of the Empire’s most blatant atrocities, and soon his conscience was somewhat silenced and used not to discuss orders. HE compensated by actually making an example of his career and of his Fleet, dedicating himself to the actual keeping of order in his sector, promoting intensive and competent training for his men and encouraging other officers to actually promote the Empire’s best values: order, diligence and discipline. He soon became a sort of a model and an example among Imperial officers, and was often used as a public man to represent the best the Empire has to offer to the galactic consortium. Thaylon’s honor and ability in battle have earned him a certain amount of respect even among the Rebels, who fear confrontations with him and are saddened to see that such a brilliant and sound mind should serve the wrong side of the war.
