A GUIDE TO THE HIDDEN WARS CHARACTERS
MARK TODD
Age: 27
Height: 1.83
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue
Sex: Male
Loyalty: To Gothar
Background: Raised as an orphan in the streets of the frontier world of Nebulon V, Mark has managed to work his way through the worst and most dangerous environments in the galaxy maintaining his own naivet?, his innocence and his innate optimism. Always ready to help, even at the point of sacrificing himself and his own benefit, he has spent a number of years practicing the most different jobs (from martial arts fighter to bodyguard to acrobat to mechanic) always giving whatever meager earning he could get to friends, known and unknown people around him who happened to be in need.
With little trust in himself and his own abilities, Todd did not care very much for his future until he met up with the Rebels. When he had the chance to join the Rebels, Todd did it gladly and proved himself reliable and capable of true heroism.
Unfortunately, during a mission for the Rebels, Todd met up with Gothar, now in exile, and his charitable nature took over even with the wicked dignitary. Believing that Gothar needed help, Todd agreed to follow him and help him in his own purposes. Since then he has remained at his side, bound by a promise of loyalty, but he secretly wishes to return to the Rebellion.
Many years of physical training and how harsh life in the streets have given Todd an excellent control of his body and a strong stamina as well, although the easiness with which he performs acrobatics and brawls and his innate endurance and capability of recovering seem much too strong for a simple human.
Objectives: Gothar?s objectives are pretty much Todd?s, although there are times when the immoral nature of the dignitary will clash with Todd?s deep sense of honor and altruism. In these moments the young pilot finds himself in a nasty position, as he wishes to please his friend but also to maintain his own moral. Whenever possible, Todd tries to smooth Gothar?s hard ways and to help him see the human side of the events.
A quote: "You get outta here, I can understand that, but I?m going back inside and see that he comes out too. I don?t care what happens to me."
