An interesting report tonight we dug up from the archives back when we were first validating Perfect Dark as a source for TFN. Here's some coolness you don't want to miss, but be careful though since it is definitely spoiler material:

As you well know, at the very beginning of the movie (see previous spy report from Sith Interceptor) there is an assassination attempt on the life of Padme. She escapes unharmed, and eventually meets up with the Jedicouncil and the little green master himself.

So what does this mean exactly? To some degree, this was to be expected, since someday her offspring would be extrememly sensitive to the Force, to the point where Luke and Leia were the only hope to save the galaxy from their evil father. If she was so strong in the Force, why were her abilities not shown in The Phantom Menace at all? Or were they, and we missed it? Perhaps the past ten years have brought many changes, including her new found respect for the Jedi ways.

Or is it possible the Force is protecting her from harm because of the need to redeem Anakin after he falls? Interesting possibilites to say the least.
