SPY REPORT: Jedi Scholar Posted By Scott on December 1, 2000
The following is spoiler material, so highlight to read!
In a post from yesterday, a spy reported that Alethea McGrath was playing Yaddle, the female version of Yoda on the Jedi Council. This seemed a little odd since the Official Site says that McGrath plays "a Jedi academic". However, it all makes sense when you put several other puzzle pieces togather with this. Adam dug up the following:
I checked the official site and looked up the character of Yaddle. The Official character site for Yaddle (http://www.starwars.com/characters/yaddle/) says...
Yaddle is head of the Librarian Assembly, a group of Jedi scholars who maintain the Temple's collection of holocrons, ancient scrolls, and Sith writings.
Sounds very much like a Jedi Academic to me.
Yes it does! And check out this other spy post about Alethea McGrath:
She played a Jedi Librarian. I was told the scene involved Luke Skywalker, which obviously isn't right so it would have to be Anakin. Anakin comes into a area which is either a Jedi Library or the Jedi Archives and asks this lady for a book or scroll or something like that. She responds by telling him they don't have it.
So it seems that Alethea plays Yaddle, the Jedi Librarian/Scholar and Anakin comes to her possibly asking about a Sith text. What do you think? You can post your thoughts on it here in the forum!
UPDATE In a brief update, would it really be Anakin searching through the archives? Here' another take on it: It's also intersting to note that the actress did definitely have a scene with Ewan McGregor, so he could be the person in question, not Anakin as speculated above and in the previous post. This was a statement made in an Official LFL Magazine in France.
