Trailer Shots Being Changed? Posted By Scott on April 24, 2002
Darren Marrese sends this:
In case you missed it, the shot of the Republic Gunship with Mace, Kit and Ki-Adi Mundi from the "Clone War" trailer is different in the "Across the Stars" video. In the video you can only see Mace and Mundi (no Fisto) and a few more clonetroopers. But here's the kicker: the Jedi have activated their lightsabers! I sent along a comparison image in case you're interested.
Dougduo sent a similar report:
I was watching the music video on the official site and noticed something a little different. When the video reaches Palpatine's 'Grand Army of the Republic' speech, I noticed two familiar scenes from the 'Clone War' trailer, yet small changes to them have been made. In the scene where you see the Republic Gunships carrying Mace Windu and the other Jedi Council members as small little passengers to the battle, I looked carefully and in the music video they have their lightsabres already ignited and there is only Mace Windu and Ki-Adi Mundi visible, when Kit Fisto was seen with them in the 'Clone War' trailer with none of their lightsabres on. They are all arrange completely diffently and its the same crew on board, same shot as the trailer, only they are arranged different, and have lightsabres ready for action. Also in the scene were the Gunships are firing missiles at those circular things from the Bank Clan, the gunship that would be in the middle of the three gunships visible is firing a long green laser that was completely non-existent in the 'Clone War' trailer. This may seem like small news, but i found it interesting that ILM changed the special effects since releasing the trailer.
