The Rose Byrne Admiration Society Posted By Joshua on July 15, 2002
Rob points out this funny article from Australia's Daily Telegraph. Here's an excerpt:
DEDICATED giggler Rose Byrne has become the centre of hot intergalactic debate with many Star Wars fans arguing she should have landed the role of Queen Amidala in Attack of The Clones instead of Hollywood cutie Natalie Portman.
Byrne ended up playing handmaiden Dorme. But a forum page on TheForce.Net - the biggest Stars Wars fansite - is a virtual Rose Byrne admiration society, with members downloading pictures of the Sydney actress as well as mounting a strong case for her to continue in the final episode of the George Lucas franchise.
"Dorme really should've been Queen Amidala from the get-go," says one geek. "Natalie should've played some handmaiden. I think she's hurt the films a bit with her lacklustre acting/mumbling/monotony ... "
