SPY REPORT: From Age to Age Posted By Joshua on November 30, 2000
We've recently read rumors from various internet sites (read more on Episode X, Aldera.Net or Corona) all taking about some spoiler material relating to Boba Fett in the next prequel. Spoilers abound, so highlight to read:
It's been said that the now infamous Count Dooku gives Jango Fett a present to persuade him to be the object cloned for an army to be assembled. That present was to be the first clone created from Jango. We all know him to be Boba Fett.
Credit has to go to the sites for breaking these interesting rumors, and we've recently been handed a bit more conformation about the scene. YahooSerious chimes in with this spoilerific info:
Boba Fett is a clone. That's right he is not Jango's son, not really. He is a clone of Jango. And a present given to him after the test phase of the cloning process. The reason why Boba is so young is that his "rate of aging" if you will is half that of the other cloes.
Rate of aging? Other clones? My (Josh) speculation would be that Boba Fett wasn't fine tuned enough to grow fast enough for the desires of building the army, so they scrapped him in favor of the newer model. The gift was given as a measure of good will and thanks to Jango and a strong bond develops between the boy and 'his father.'
Thanks for the reports and again great work on the scoop!
