SPY REPORT: Diamond in the Rough

Posted By Joshua on February 23, 2001

Sometimes you've got to go out on a limb. And today, we're going to do just that. Ususally we only post information from sources that we think are legitimate, yet occasionally something really fun comes down the pipe we can't confirm or deny.

The item in question this morning is the revelation of a new character in the cast list of Starwars.com, named Sly Moore and played by Sandi Finlay. Just who is this mysterious person? We asked and it is possible that below is the answer.

The Bearer of the Ring chimes in with rumor we cannot confirm or deny. Photographic proof would be helpful, so perhaps overnight we can update this story with a photo. Here ya go:

Potential Spoilers! Highlight to read:

I thought at first Sandi Finlay only had a small role. But perhaps not. According to my information Sandi Finlay looks Egyptian. Her costume involves a dark, blue hood and scarf, and a long, black, purple gown which comes to her feet. She has a purple diamond on her forehead, and wears purple mascara. Sandi Finlay plays the part of an old member of the Jedi Council. She uses her Jedi Strength and Knowledge to teach the young Jedi apprentices, that will soon befriend her. She's taken a few hits from a battle or two, but she is a forceful, powerful, and truehearted Jedi Knight.

She stared in her first role in Masrahiat (1997), as a young princess and soon was casted for roles such as:Mosalsalt (1997), Ahlam al banat (1999), and Arba'a Fi Muhimma Rasiyya (1998).

On the lookout for more ...

UPDATE
Further research reveals this description as eerily similar to this picture in the French Insider who is purported to be a Jedi Assistant, not a member of the Jedicouncil.

We also know the the first report originiated in a magazine supposedly called Star Wars Episode II- a First Look, and is bought by tourists to Australia right now. In the magazine there was a few pages on the cast and characters of the upcoming prequel sequel. No character names were said accept Ewan McGregor's, Hayden Christen's and the rest of the main cast.

Where the magazine got their information from anyone knows. So we're still skeptical of all of the details of the report, and there's a bit more information on the source.
