SPY REPORT: Breathing Frame by Frame
Posted By Joshua on October 30, 2001
A source who wishes to remain anonymous has sent us this report of the trailer reel frame by frame. Some interesting new tidbits have shown up: In total there are 22 scenes on the trailer. More than half of the these scenes are less than a second long which is why they went virtually unoticed. Here's the scene by scene break-down. 20th century Fox logo Lucasfilm ltd (complete darkness with the sound of Darth Vader breathing for about 10 sec.) Two quick shots of Amidala and Anakin looking at eachother then fade to black Two quick shots, first of which resembles Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter flying over the desert, second shot of a dark almost black colored C-3PO looking at the camera then fade to black Two quick shots, first of Yoda facing away from the camera then turning his head toward it, second shot of Jango Fett using his jet-pack, he fires twice then flies behind a building, then fades to black. Two quick shots, first one is hard to describe, take the Select #43 as a background and have an IG-2000 looking ship (or "H"-Wing) fly past it. Second shot is of Anakin (green saber) and Obi-Wan (blue saber) charging down a hallway (select #3) then fade to black. Two quick shots, first of Mace Windu (select #57) seems to be on some sort of transport or bus with Yoda walking away from him down an aisle. Second shot is on a cliff top on Naboo, seems to be a landing platform with Theed in the far far background at the edge of it's cliff, then fade to black. Two quick shots, (the first is less than a half second long so it went unoticed) First shot is of Tipoca City in the middle of an ocean the city is silver with many lights and is above the water on pilars. The second shot is of Obi-Wan held prisoner. He is suspended in the air from a blue light below him, the light attaches to his ankles and his wrists. There is a light above him but it is just a normal white light. The background seems rocky almost as if he was in the Fighting Arena but smaller, then fade to black. Two quick shots, first of Watto flying with that silly hat. Second is of the Slave I flying through an asteroid field with guns blazing, then fade to black. Two quick shots, first is of Anakin and Amidala in each others arms kissing in front of the Lars homestead. Second is on R2-D2 sitting by himself in a dark room (could be in the Queen Royal Ship) then fade to black. Two quick shots, first Obi-Wan is hanging from something high over Coruscant, moving thru traffic (could be the chase scene). Second shot is of the hundreds of kids sitting at desks with a helmet on somesort on their heads. Could be a learning imputer like in the Matrix. The kid right in front of hte camera is not Boba Fett, Boba has long hair this kid does not, then fade to black. Two quick shots, first of the hundreds of thousands of clones boarding a ramp into a transport. There was a transport in the foreground but I could not get a clear glimsp of it. Second shot is of Anakin and Amidala kissing again, I could not make-out the background except that it was gray, then fade to black. At this point the vader breathing stops and real sound kicks in. Select #56 exactly as Anakin fights DArth Tyranus but Anakin holds a blue saber in this shot. A few more close-ups of them two fighting, it's almost as they zoomed in on these shots so we could not see Tyranus' face. The second shot is not actually shot. It is three frames that's 3/24ths of a second (impossible to noticed) of Anakin giving an EVIL EVIL face to someone. STAR WARS ATTACK OF THE CLONES THE SAGA CONTINUES MAY 2002 When looking at this trailer many of the scenes looked grainy and blurry, as if it was purposely done. If someone were to take pictures or record the trailer somehow they would get very very sloppy images. So if you didn't like how the CGI looked on the screen it may have been that way purposely. I'll be looking forward to giving reports of the next trailer soon as well.
