SPY REPORT: Big Guys

Posted By Joshua on July 20, 2001

Timelord chimes in with an analysis of recent pictures to hit the web, including the latest Select picture:

I was just thinking and I remember I told you about one of the other stories I heard during those couple of days. This one guy had been working as a carpenter before being recruited by Rick McCallum to be a Jedi, and an extra when he wasn't doing that either. Kit Fisto was his character's name, and though he wasn't totally sure how much exposure he'd get on screen or how featured the role would be, it really doesn't matter. And I of course, still think life isn't fair.

Also looking at the latest Insider photos, there is one listed as "Padme and Anakin". This photo was taken on the freighter, you can see the freight secured under the netting behind them. Also the photo listed as "Natalie Picts" are basically what I said I was looking at when I was standing near the monitors and the sound guys were remarking on how good it looked.

They were definitely right, these pictures don't do her or the headdress justice. She would just be sitting there as the make-up girls worked away (as you can see) smiling and laughing with them, and everyone else would just be gawking at the clarity of the cameras. It was truly amazing. This was also the scene where she and Anakin would keep laughing as they were trying to do their takes.

Finally, the two guys we see in Select 54 were definitely in the nightclub scene along with the rest of the extras. If you were stood looking at the front of the nightclub, the bar would be directly in front of you. The entrance would be over on the right and towards the back, and these two characters, along with a third were over to the left and on the upstairs level. They remained there for the whole scene and were playing some sort of table game with a few of the other characters.

On a personal note, and I don't intend any embarassment towards them, these guys were very large both in girth and height and it would take them some time and effort to get dressed of a morning. One of these gents would also be very conspicuous as he would huff and puff all day long as he moved around, you could hear him wherever he went.

It's is about time bigger fellas got their representation in Star Wars movies. Now bring back Porkins in Episode III!
