Sneak Peek at More AOTC Books Posted By Scott on April 16, 2002
Barnes&Noble.Com was also nice enough to ship a couple of other books this past week. The first was "I Am A Jedi Apprentice by Anakin Skywalker". It is a children's book published by Random House. It is basically Anakin talking about what it is like to be a Jedi. One item of interest is that the book names the five Jedi Temple towers. They are the Temple Spire (central tower for meditation), High Council tower, Council of First Knowledge tower (location of the library), Council of Reconciliation tower, and the Reassignment Council tower (where unchosen Jedi students are sent elsewhere). Here are a few pictures of interest. They may be spoilers, so highlight for a description:
Picture 1 - I'm Anakin Skywalker! I'm here to rescue you! Picture 2 - Attack Gunship Picture 3 - Jedi Starfighter hyperspace booster ring Picture 4 - Yoda, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, and Anakin
I was also able to get the Skywalker Family Album. This children's book explains the relationships between Luke, Leia, Padme, Anakin, Shmi, Owen, and even Obi-Wan Kenobi (though he's not a relative). Sadly, Padme's family does not appear in this book, either, indicating more that the Naberrie family is totally cut from the film. Besides a few Episode II quotes and some nice pictures, there's nothing of particular note in this book. Here are the images:
