Here's is some informed speculation on one of the domians registered recently by Lucasfilm employees. Spoilers, to some degree, so beware and highlight if you want to check them out:

Everyone remembers yesterday's big news with KAMINOAN.COM being one of the registered domains from a LFL employee, right? TFN Reader Amanda shares this insight:

'Kamin' means rock in Ukrainian (and probably a number of other slavic languages). I know Ukrainian/slavic has been an influence on Star Wars names at least once before: Boss Nass, which means 'The Boss of Us', or 'our boss'.

I'd bet anything that the Kaminoans are a race of people inhabiting this rock planet Ttaz that we hear so much about, Episode 2's principal new civilization (Ewoks, Gungans, Kaminoans?). As you know, the Annotated screenplays mention Ttaz as being inhabited by a 'cave dwelling' people. Incidentally, there are rock or cave people in one of the early Flash Gordon serials that Lucas liked so much as well.

Interesting observations - there could definitely be a connection!
