Just minutes ago, Jay Laga'aia (Episode II's Captain Typho) appeared on the New Zealand TV show "Good Morning", and had quite a lot to say about Star Wars.

• Captain Typho is pronounced "tie-fo".
• He confirmed he was the (Spoilers, Highlight to Read) "head of the Imperial Guard", and Amidala's bodyguard. (End Spoilers)
• He was up for the role of Jango Fett, but didn't fit the part.
• There's a lot of speaking in the part.
• He doesn't die, and has been asked if he was interested in coming back for Episode III.
• He goes to Skywalker Ranch later in October to finish looping dialogue.
• He's a Star Wars fan, and he remembered getting all the money he could together and going with his friends on the bus to see ANH.
