Jango Fett Comic Press Release

Posted By Scott on October 10, 2001

Dark Horse sent out this press release on Jango Fett's new comic:

Meet the original Star Wars bounty hunting legend in Star Wars:Jango Fett!

This winter, Dark Horse proudly presents a new reason to not want a price on your head in the Star Wars galaxy: bounty hunting legend Jango Fett! This fearless huntsman comes to you in an action packed story of double- crosses, twists, turns, and don't- blink- or - you'll - miss it confrontations!

Master hunter Jango Fett has just completed a mission taking out a prominent Black Sun crimelord and wants to be paid. Traveling to a nearby planet to collect his fee, he enters the chambers of his employer, Dreddon the Hutt, and finds him dead! Suddenly, from the shadows of the chamber a mysterious woman emerges and draws her weapon. Jango quickly recognizes this woman is his old foe and fellow bounty hunter Zam Wesell! Both learn that they were hired to kill each other's employers and now neither have a chance to get paid. Lowering their weapons, the adversaries part, both defeated by their misfortune.

With no payment forthcoming, Jango is resigned to taking another job and unhappy he will not have time to spend with his young son. Reluctantly he accepts new employment and leaves. His new mission takes him on a hunt for a mysterious artifact stolen from his current employer. He travels to a jungle world and soon retrieves the artifact from the thief who stole it, but when he turns to depart he runs into a gun- wielding Zam Wesell! While the two bounty hunters play out another face to face confrontation, elsewhere on a distant planet their employer awaits his prize. He knows what the pair does not -- that this seemingly trivial artifact has the power to destroy an entire planet! "Wait a minute. JANGO Fett? What about BOBA Fett? Well, he's in there too, but you'll just have to read it to find out what the connection is," said writer Ron Marz. "But I can tell you this -- Jango is definitely the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter. Is he one of the good guys? One of the bad guys? Even after writing it I'm still not sure."

Star Wars: Jango Fett includes the action packed storytelling of Ron Marz and fantastic art by Tom Fowler. Star Wars: Jango Fett features 64 action packed pages and arrives in comic shops December 26 retailing for $5.95.

Dark Horse publishes the galaxy's greatest comics.
