This weeks update of Holonet News includes several Episode II tidbits. Highlight to check them out:
Grant noticed there's news of death-stick abuse, the same drugs offered to Obi-Wan by Elan Sleazebaggano.
Christina notes the use of the name Celly Organa in the Refugee Relief Movement article - perhaps this is Leia's stepmother?
Episode II Jedi Bultar Swan and Kit Fisto both make cameo appearances in articles about Jedi missions.
A couple of old rumoured titles for Episode II are included in the latest Baby Ludi story.
Not Episode II-related, but interesting nonetheless. A Senator by the name of Paige-Tarkin makes an appearance here. She represents Seswenna, a sector Wilhuff commanded at one point. Similarly, General Tagge's family is the basis for this story.
And probably the biggest Episode II-related story in Issue #49 is the confirmation of the Loyalist Committee:
In anticipation of future negotiations with the Separatists as well as to assist in the general handling of the crisis, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine revealed the members of the newly formed Loyalist Committee today.
"I turn to some of the most trusted, skilled and intelligent minds that the Republic has to offer," Palpatine said after Senate session today. "This is the team that will help me forge a peaceful end to the current dispute."
The committee of 10 Senators will serve in diplomatic and strategic capacity, developing a six-month action plan to engage Separatist elements, negotiate, and settle disputes.
The story includes a full list of Loyalist Committee members. To read these stories in full, make sure you pay a visit to HoloNet News!
