Trey Yeatts tells us that the Holonet News has been updated. He wanted to point out a few of the Episode II related highlights:

-- Ask Aak has been officially appointed the senator for Malastare. He replaces Aks Moe who was killed a few weeks ago.

-- Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Yoda stopped a terrorist attack on a Coruscant landing platform. Early reports suggest the terrorist had no ties to separatist groups.

-- With secession leading to refugees, a major fundraiser was held to benefit those displaced in the galactic upheaval. Chancellor Palpatine himself attended, along with Senator Padme Amidala and other members of the Loyalist Committee. It is interesting to note that representatives of the Trade Federation (Nute Gunray), the Corporate Alliance (Passel Argente), the Techno Union (Wat Tambor) and other financial conglomerates also attended. Gunray made a hasty exit when Amidala arrived, however.

-- Geonosis is mentioned as a home to gladiator fights in a story detailing the possible creation of a Galaxy Gladiator Federation.

-- In a companion piece to the story about the refugee fundraiser, an InStyle-type column appears in the Life section. In it, the fashion "dos" and "don'ts" are detailed. Apparently, the chancellor's red-suited guards are "out," while Jar Jar's wardrobe is "in"; even though he was locked in a cloakroom for most of the evening.
