Corey Burton Talks Clone Wars Cartoon Dooku Posted By Britany on October 1, 2003
Rodrigo Freitas from the Brazilian Star Wars site the Jedi Library recently conducted an exclusive interview with Corey Burton, the voice of Count Dooku in the upcoming Clone Wars cartoon. Here's an excerpt:
Jedi Library: I'd like to know about the Corey Burton's emotions of being part of a great Star Wars project.
Corey Burton: Although the films of recent years have not excited me nearly as much as the first ones, it is still a very good feeling to be connected to Star Wars projects, especially to play such a powerful character as Count Dooku, and to be representing the voice of the distinguished Christopher Lee.
Jedi Library: What is the voice of Count Dooku going to be like?
Corey Burton: I listen carefully to Mr. Lee's portrayal of the character, then do my best to recreate the feeling of his performance, even if I don't sound exactly like him. It is my hope that people will get the same sense of character from my work on these new projects (which Christopher Lee is not available for himself). You can hear me as Count Dooku on the Clone Wars TV series and video games (in their English language versions, of course).
