OK, this is such a trivial thing that most ordinary people wouldn't care. But then again, if you're reading this then you're not ordinary - you're a Star Wars geek. So read on! Richard Pearce sent this:

I saw a clip of Jimmy Smits at the Democratic Convention and he had some facial hair. He had a very small mustache and goatee. We know from SW.com (on the 21st of July) that Smits is either completely or almost completely done with his scenes for EP2, so maybe he didn't have any facial hair during filming, but he does now.
