Steve saw an image from the upcoming Attack of the Clones Visual Dictionary and noted the following:

I was watching the John Wayne movie "The Searchers" (which in a lot of ways seems to be one of the influences for ANH) and noticed a familiar scene. We have seen pictures of Anakin looking down from a cliff watching over the Tusken raider camp at night, and the scene is almost exact to a scene from "The Searchers" where John Wayne is watching over an Indian camp planning an attack so he can rescue his neice. Take a look at the attached picture and you'l see what I mean. When seeing the film in motion, you can see the smoke trails and the campfires just like Anakin sees at the Tusken camp. Pretty interesting especially since the recent press book for E2 has Lucas saying that he wanted to capture the feeling of the old Westerns of the 50's...
