Some dress up, some wait to be first in line, some sit in line and play card games.... well those are all great ways to show your fanatizism. There are others though that do things their way..... I present to you the 'Ultimate Star Wars Tailgate' ..... the pictures should speak for themselves....
We had two "tents" or shelters . We had a van connected to it with the side doors... in the van we played choice DVDs of Jay and Silent Bob, Star Wars, and our own C3 footage.... On the other side of the van a giant banner proudly displayed to all what we were doing there.... Perpendicular to the van on both sides, with their trunks backed up to the same shelter, we had a Xbox with ROTS and Lego SW in one trunk, and the JAKKS Vader game in the other trunk... one of the cars also blasted our tunes.... Rock music just sounds so much better when it is mixed with choice dialogue from Kevin Smith, and other SW related movies mixed over the top of it...... in the adjacent shelter, we had our food... an M&Ms shipper filled with SW Skittles and M&Ms.... an R2 cooler filled with Pepsi products, and our table....(Kudos, Poptarts, Frito Lay, SW Cereal, Cheezits, Twistems, and various ROTS Candy)..... we had an arsenal of around 15 lightsabers and we even made a card board Darth Maul beating target! The icing on the cake was the steaks that we were grilling in the lot. We partied for around 6 hours before getting in line. By that time it was raining and in line we carried one of the shelters and about 10 of us made it underneath... who needs an umbrella! At one point in the night we even had a projector going on the side of the building... 15X15 Xbox... are you kidding me!?!?!? It was a great time.. and an outstanding last hurrah in the Janesville Movies 10 Parking Lot......Even though I saw the movie 4 times the next day....
