UK Star Wars Marathon Info from UCI Posted By Britany on May 8, 2005
UCI has sent out the following info for anyone attending the Star Wars Marathon at the Empire Leicester Square on May 16th:
As many of you are already aware, the passports are now available for collection from the cinema during normal box office opening hours (from 12 noon to 9pm). On Sunday 15th May you can collect your tickets/passport up to 9pm and on Monday 16th the box office will be open from 6:15am. Please remember to take the credit card used to make the booking and a copy of this email with you when collecting your tickets. If you already have your tickets but only require your passport, please remember to take your tickets with you to the cinema as proof of purchase.
You must remember to bring both the tickets and the passports to the cinema on the 16th May. Each time you watch one of the films, your passport will be stamped. Unfortunately, without a stamp for all 5 previous films you will not be admitted into the auditorium to watch "Star Wars Episode III." There will be plenty of people around the cinema & auditorium to ensure that you will be able to get your passport stamped without missing any of the films.
You will be readmitted to the cinema if you want to go outside for food during the day (please note for health & safety reasons you may not be allowed to take greasy/smelly food into the auditorium) but we would ask that you do not go out into the square between Episodes II & III as this may cause problems when trying to get back in for the final screening of the day.
There will be no special food on offer within the cinema but we will be having offers on our normal range of film food - details of which will be available on the day.
We will not be searching people for cameras, however anyone found using recording equipment in the auditorium during the films will have their equipment confiscated and will then be ejected from the cinema and reported to the police. Please note that we will use all available technology to ensure that no breach of copyright occurs.
Please note: The cinema does not have a cloakroom facility and therefore those of you travelling to the cinema on the day will need to make your own arrangements for the storage of your luggage away from the cinema.
