The History of Star Wars Posted By Joshua on May 7, 2005
Canada's The Gate talks about Star Wars history in honor of the new movie in a new article called Star Wars: Reborn. Here's a clip to set up the rest of the piece.
After some 28 years of waiting George Lucas has finally done it - Star Wars has come full circle, showing the eventual fall of Darth Vader before going all the way back and explaining how he got there in the first place. It's been a long ride, but with Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith there is a certain symmetry you've got to love.
Early reviews have been calling it everything from genius to a masterpiece - and in many ways there's no questioning what George Lucas has finally done with Revenge of the Sith, but I think there's something larger that most fans will want to know here, and that's looking at how the entire series holds together now that it's complete.
Most people going out to see Revenge of the Sith may not care about that question - and it really won't matter to most casual fans either. So let's take a step back and look at how we got to this film in the first place, just to humor the masses who maybe aren't up to speed with the geeky wonder of everything Star Wars.
