I thought I'd send along a note about the ROTS screening here in Baltimore.
My wife and I got to go to the historic Senator Theatre to see ROTS on May 23rd.
However, before the movie itself started, the film was preceded by a short film that was produced by a local filmmaker named Jerome "Flick" Schaefer. The film chronicles the 6-year history of the folks who have formed the nucleus of the waiting lines for tickets to the opening night(s) of TPM, AOTC, and now ROTS at the Senator.
It ran about 6 minutes, and was highly entertaining. There were SW film scene re-enactments (highly amusing), drum circles, and general merriment featured in the film.
The audience seemed to really appreciate it (and the theatre was pretty full, considering it was 1pm on a Monday!) and it segued well into the start of the film.

The fans of the midnight viewing of Sith got together and presented Tom Kiefaber (owner and operator of the Senator) with his very own lightsaber from Master Replicas. Tom Kiefaber has long been a supporter of the fans and constantly struggles against the corporate forces that keep such movies in the big name theater chains. The Senator is an independent movie house and getting titles such as Sith is always difficult. Tom came through for us once again and we wanted to show our appreciation for all of his hard work.
