Negative Experience at EP3 Screening in Ohio Posted By Britany on May 22, 2005

I would like to post a negative experience that my friends and I had at the AMC Lennox in Columbus Ohio.
While not as bad as some, we clearly were waiting in line for 3 days for the film. However, when it came time to line up, they pushed all of us for theater 1 to the side until they could let us enter the theater.
While we were waiting in line to get in, we were informed that people were waiting outside theater 1 in a line, even though they were not supposed to be allowed into the theater at all. When we asked the managers, they said "you have our word, no-one is getting in to that theater before you."
My friend and I were the first for that theater to get to the ticket taker, and what do we see but 30-40 people entering theater 1 before us. This, my friends and I felt, was complete rubbish, and a denouncement of people who actually waited patiently for the film.
We are all planning on writing the theater to let them know how bad we felt we were treated, and we felt cheated out of the time we spent waiting, which we wouldn't have done if we knew we could get there 20 minutes prior and get the best seats in the house.
I feel that the theater did not work with the fans in this way, obviously allowing people for theater 1 in without checking to make sure that they couldn't be there, nor checking (or being truthful about) the line outside the house, and telling those people that they had to exit and wait for the actual line.
Also, those people should be ashamed of themselves for being so overzealous that they ruined half of the experience for other fans. This was truthfully the worst experience I have had in dealing with a theater for the release of all 6 films (including the re-releases). It was poor customer handling skills, and most of the 30 people who were in our group will be dealing individually with the theater itself.
