Kansas City Theater Gets EP3 Right Posted By Britany on May 19, 2005
Fans in a Kansas City theater were treated extremely well as Chris writes:
Reading about the horror stories on the site. Thought I would commend at least one theater with a non-horror story. AMC Barrywoods 24 in Kansas City, MO really took care of the fans.
They sold bottles of coke and water outside for a buck a piece, then opened their doors earlier so people didn't have to wait in line. The management let us totally geek out by having lightsaber duels at the front of the theater while we waited. At one point, someone broke out a beach ball before the show started to get the party atmosphere REALLY going. A worker came in, grabbed the beach ball (everyone booed), and then asked: "Is there anyone in the theater that has a problem with this ball?" When nobody replied yes, she exclaimed "Then have fun!" and left! They even sold hot dogs for a dollar each (until they ran out, of course).
This theater really seemed to understand that this was a special event. They took care of the fans and let us have fun.
