Me and 4 friends arrived at the our local theatre (Showplace 16) around 5:30pm.
At this time the line queues hadn't formed yet and everyone was just hanging out waiting. When we got out of our car we had a 15 minute talk with an Obi-Wan about his costume. Then we hung out and started a game of Star Wars minis. During this time a certain black car containing a certain FedEx box pulled up and shouts of, "You'll never know how much you mean to me!" began. Then as soon as we started, the manager told everyone to pack up because they were going to set up the ropes.
We walked around to the other side of the entrance because that's where theater 9 was and we just figured. On this side there were already three lines. We picked one and later we found out it was the right one. First in line we were really excited.
At about 7:30pm my Dad and sister showed up. Soon after that my dad left and brought back pizza and Root Beer. Then we started playing minis and got some calls of, "Cool game." from the manager. Then we watched Episode IV. We interrupted ourselves quite a few times to call and taunt friends who couldn't come and watch some very professional looking faux lightsaber duels. A really good one was a ANH Ben vs. Vader duel. During one of the pauses of the fight when there was silence, I couldn't resist and yelled, "Use Choke!!!" Vader lifted his hand and Obi-Wan fell to the ground. I got my picture with Vader and everything.
At about 10:40pm it started drizziling so they started getting ready to let people in. We got in around 10:50pm (It seemed like forever). After getting the best seats in the house, we got our snacks.
Then at 12:02am on the dot our movie started and played through without a hitch. It beat my expectations (which were high) and everything. There was much cheering during R2's parts and Yoda's scenes.
I later saw it on the 24th and it was even better since I wasn't sleepy at all.
