I went to see the 8:30 AM DLP screening at the Cinemark Legacy in Plano, TX on Saturday morning (May 21st).
Roughly at the halfway point of the movie, there was a power surge in the entire theater, which reset the digital projector and made it start showing pre-movie slides. Many of the audience, having been in their seats since about 7:30, ran to the restrooms. I went, too, and outside learned that the theater was going to wait a few minutes for the restroom-goers to return before restarting the movie. I was thus able to get myself a popcorn and a drink and returned to my seat just as the movie started back up.
They apparently have chapter breaks in the DLP software like a DVD, as the movie resumed about 5 minutes before it cut off previously. Nobody panicked, the theater handled the glitch well, and the audience had a blast.
