EP3 Reel Snaps in Washington Posted By Britany on May 19, 2005
The darkside is spreading to Washington, but one fan didn't let the problems get him down. Jonathan writes:
I and a friend went to see the movie in brand new Loews Theater in Lynnwood, Washington at 12:25 AM, we watched for roughly 30 minutes and all of a sudden it stopped without warning. The management came in told us the reel had snapped and it would take 10 - 15 minutes to get it back on.
Once the movie resumed we watched for another 15 - 20 minutes and once again it went off without warning. By no surprise the management came in once again and mentioned the problem was much worse than expected and that it would take roughly between 45 minutes to 1 hour. Most people would just get up and grab the free ticket to come back later that day to see it again. Well alot of people chose to do that, I for one as well as my friend and about another 60 - 100 crazed star wars fans waited it out.
We were getting nervous it may never come back on, but when the head guy of the theater came in and said were going to move you to another screen in about 15 minutes, we all stayed put until the gentleman came back and got us.
We got seated and they passed out another free movie ticket for all the dedicated fans who remained. We restarted watching the film from the beginning, and I mean the beginning, previews and all.
After that was finished we started the movie and a little after 3:00 in this morning, and it didn't let out till roughly 15 minutes after 5:00. I actually didn't make it home till nearly 6:00 this morning. Now it's 6:21 AM, and I can't stop thinking about what a night at the movies I had, it was the funniest, and most utterly weirdest night of my adult life.
